Happy Thanksgiving!

There will be NO SCHOOL next Wednesday, November 25 through Friday, November 27.  We hope that you have a happy, healthy, and safe Thanksgiving Break!

11/25 to 11/27 – NO SCHOOL
12/2 – PTO Meeting, 6:30 pm
12/3 – Winter Concert (4/5, vocal and instrumental), 7:00 pm
12/4 – 8th Grade Fundraiser Orders DUE (see separate post)
12/10 – Winter Concert (6-8, vocal and instrumental), 7:00 pm

 

Fall Clean-Up = Success!

7 kids + 4 adults + 40 bags of mulch + 12 lawn and leaf bags + 1 weed whacker + 4 hours = a much nicer looking front courtyard, parent room courtyard, and garden. Thank you to the volunteers who worked HARD to make our school look even better. Thank you also to Lowes for a fantastic discount on mulch. There is still clean up work to be done in the garden and in other courtyards. See You In The Spring!
Mileage Club met for the last fall session on Thursday, November 19. Our walkers and runners logged 264 miles during the past month alone! Mileage Club will start back up in the spring, after the morning temperatures are consistently over 40 degrees. Thanks to all of the wonderful volunteers who make Mileage Club possible! If you’d like to learn more about Mileage Club and how you can help, please contact Lisa Evans (lisaevanskristel@gmail.com). We’re especially looking for someone to set up at 8:20 on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

 

Eighth Grade Fundraiser: Syracuse Cultural Workers Cooperative

Dear Friends of Indianola Informal K-8:Syracuse co op

The 8th Grade is partnering with our friends at peace and justice publisher Syracuse Cultural Workers to raise funds for our trip. You can buy great products for holiday gifts and raise funds to support our upcoming trip to Williamsburg!

You can choose from over 1,500 great products–calendars, holiday cards, T-shirts, posters, buttons, stickers, peace cranes and more. Just click on the image below to go to their website and get started. We’ll get 20% of the gross online sales to support the trip!  As you’re checking out be sure that our code, 1516CCS is entered in the Source Code box.

We’re also partnering with Syracuse Cultural Workers on a sale more like “Girl Scout Cookie” sales (though with less sugar) to collect orders for those who would prefer to buy from a catalog rather than online. Catalog profits are 30-50%!

There is a catalog and order forms in the office, or check with an 8th grader!
Orders are due Dec. 4th, and pick up dates are Dec. 17 & 18th
